Strawflowers are drought-tolerant Australian plants known for their papery, long-lasting blooms that are excellent for drying. To grow them, plant seeds in a sunny spot with well-drained soil, as they need light to germinate. Pinching the plant when it's 6-12 inches tall encourages branching and more flowers.
